Beauty influencer and podcaster Ashlie Molstad scooped up two tickets "literally right in front of where Taylor was sitting" for the Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, October 18.
When she and her friend arrived, however, there was a problem.
"We go to our seats. Everybody is in our seats," Molstad explained via her Instagram Story on Sunday. "We're like, 'Hey, we're right here. We're seats five and six.' And one girl that was standing there with a sign, she's like, 'Oh, damn it. You guys were supposed to be late.' We're like, 'Well, we're not. We're here.' They were just annoying. They're in our face the whole time. People didn't even look at the field. They're just standing watching the suite."
Molstad called the behavior of the fans in their direct vicinity "very bizarre."
"Security came and kicked those people out and then they came back," she said.
Once Swift, 36, arrived roughly midway through the first quarter, Molstad said the vibe in the surrounding area shifted.
"Next thing we know, three big ass dudes come in and they are there for security for Taylor," Moldstad said. "Then you just kind of start observing what the f*** is going on and what that world is like. [The security team] is head on a swivel as if they're Secret Service, right? I mean, she is the most famous, at least American, celebrity that we have right."
She continued, "Anyway, there's these three men and they're very friendly to us. They're very nice. But they are very locked into...they are not watching the game. They're watching people. It was kind of wild to see how many people are constantly looking."
Molstad detailed what happened when Swift could be seen telling a fan near the suite to turn around and watch the game instead of putting her camera in the pop star's face.
"This woman comes barging up," she said. "I don't even know how she got there. She's yelling Taylor's name. The security is like, 'Hey, hey. What are you doing?' She was yelling 'Taylor!' and had her phone out to take a picture with her or of her or whatever. And then she goes, 'I came a long way. I'm all the way from Germany.' She's in her Oktoberfest regalia. They were like, 'We don't care.'"
Molstad insisted she and her friend had "too much respect for Taylor" to take a picture or video of the singer during the game — at least overtly.
"We're not going to be bugging her," she said. "We're going to do it inconspicuously."
Indeed, Molstad shared multiple selfies and videos via Instagram from her seats on Sunday, showing Swift watching the game in the background.
"We had a pretty chill, nothing major to report, kind of Sunday. How about you? Omfknggodddddddddddd 朗," she captioned the post.
