The Handmaid's Tale revealed if a main character is alive-or dead-after a horrifying massacre. During the Tuesday, May 6, episode of the hit Hulu series, Nick's (Max Minghella) decision to sell out June's (Elisabeth Moss) plan resulted in a raid at Jezebel's. Everyone there-except Janine (Madeline Brewer)-were killed by a shooting squad. Janine's fate initially remained unclear when Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) visited the site of the massacre. It was revealed that Commander Bell (Timothy Simons) took her in as a handmaiden, with Us briefly seeing her in the window of his home before she was taken away again.
